Difficult Decision - News from the League

Dear OPLLF and Cheer Friends and Families -

Last night (Monday July 20, 2020) our league, Empire West Youth Football and Cheerleading, voted to cancel the 2020 season.  The decision was made after the New York State Public High School Athletic Association announced that fall sports will not be allowed to commence until September 21st in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The announcement from NYSPHSAA can be found at the link below :

It is the opinion of the League and Orchard Park Little Loop Football and Cheer, that while extremely disappointing, this is the best option to keep our players and families safe.  We will be offering several options for refunds laid out below.

  1. Full refund of registration within 30 days
  2. Hold registration and apply to the 2021 season
  3. Delayed partial refund. This option will guarantee your child a spot in any fall camps and clinics we are able to run under the state guidelines at that time.  The programs and the cost will be detailed within the next several weeks including a structured plan and cost.  If for any reason we cannot safely execute camps or clinics you will still be eligible to select the full refund or applying the registration to next season.
